Special Issue on Emerging and Interdisciplinary Software Technologies and Applications

Theme

Due to the ubiquitous presence of software applications, developing high-quality software systems is important for developers in many fields (e.g., technological art, social communication, financial technology, digital transformation, digitization and translation of ancient classics, and education). It is undoubtedly worthwhile to carry out the study on the integration of software engineering with each of these fields. Therefore, this special issue focuses on “Emerging and Interdisciplinary Software Technologies and Applications.” Primary source of the submissions to this special issue will come from the enhanced version of selected papers presented at the 2022 18th Taiwan Conference on Software Engineering (TCSE), for which the theme is “Research and Education for Interdisciplinary Software Engineering,” to be held in Taipei, Taiwan. Founded in 2005, TCSE provides a forum for researchers to exchange their research results in software engineering. This special issue is also open to the submission of papers from other authors. We encourage submissions on presenting and discussing the most recent innovations, trends, experiences, and concerns in emerging and interdisciplinary software technologies and applications. Major topics of interest are listed but not limited to the following:

Artificial intelligence application on software engineering
Cyber physical systems
Green and sustainable technologies
Model-driven engineering
Security, privacy and trust
Software engineering for IoT
Ubiquitous/pervasive software systems

Author’s Guidelines

The submissions should follow the formatting guidelines of the Journal of Information Science and Engineering (https://jise.iis.sinica.edu.tw/pages/authors/index.html). Any questions regarding this special issue should be sent to the guest editors. All submitted papers will be reviewed by at least three reviewers and selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. The manuscript should be prepared in JISE Word (or Latex) standard and converted into a PDF for auto-submission system. Electronic paper should be submitted to SI_Auto_Submit_System at https://journal.iis.sinica.edu.tw/surl/jise-tse .
